Over the past thirty years, we see pioneers of restorative justice crossing the frontiers of society, institutions and systems such as criminal justice, rehabilitation and education. They have ventured to go beyond boundaries in their respective disciplines and develop alternatives to addressing harm. At the same time, restorative justice and restorative practice, have grown and challenged mainstream thinking and practice.
The culmination of their efforts is evident in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime’s adoption and publication of a handbook on restorative justice programmes. This is held up as a model of good practice.

In this forum, our speakers will look at how restorative justice and restorative practice has ventured into new frontiers through recent developments. The conversations would centre on exploring restorative paradigm shifts that have the potential to impact and enhance your practice. In this forum, we will also attempt to discuss the future possible applications of restorative justice and restorative practice, and the potentials it has to impact future society and communities.
Forum speakers: Dr. Anne Hobbs, Monica Miles-Steffen, Linda Kligman, Terry O' Connell and Dr. Razwana Begum
Moderator: Dr. Julia Wong
